Taking the laser cutter class and the CNC class at Technocopia was great fun. These two machines offer an immense amount of potential for projects. Practice is the key to getting the most out of them. I wish I had taken more notes and more pictures but at the time the learning curve seemed a little steep to be not paying attention. The laser cutter project was a simple round coaster with a design etched onto it. I decided that my CNC project would add to that so I milled out a holder for the laser cut part. Not a major feat of engineering but I am proud of the result and it will remind me of my first encounter with this technology.
